It’s Sports Physical Season
With more than 46 million adolescents participating in sports each year, making sure that your athlete is okay to practice and play is the first step in getting ready for game time. Sports physicals are largely required by athletic leagues and schools and for a good reason. They raise awareness of health issues that may interfere with your athlete’s ability to participate actively in a sport.
Prestige Health Primary and Urgent Care Center offers sports physicals at a discounted rate. We make it convenient for your athlete to get their assessment done by performing on-site sports physicals. We will come to your organization or school at no additional cost on a specific day designated by you and Prestige Health.

The importance of Sports Physicals
- To ensure your child is prepared for vigorous physical activity
- To gather information on your child’s health and development
- To watch for potential warning signs of serious illness
- To meet the requirements of your child’s school, camp, or sports team
- To identify possible risk factors with a certain sport
During the sports evaluations, our providers will first check your athlete’s vital signs and take a medical history. If the athlete wears glasses or contacts, he/she will need to bring those to their assessment as we will perform a brief vision exam. Our providers will then perform a sports physical exam on the athlete. The goal is to conclude whether or not your athlete can safely participate in any sport.
